Latest Release:

Cabernet Sauvignon 2012 This is a classic and classy Sonoita Cab. Juicier and fruitier in the nose and the mouth than the 2009 Vintage, the wine is big and dark and delicious. It will age for a very long time and become more complex as the fruits and tannins integrate.

Other Available Wines

2011 Viognier This is a beautiful, pale, lemon colored wine made from grapes grown on Sierra Vista Ranch in Sasabe, AZ. Honeydew melon, yellow bing cherries and luscious fruit aromas fill the glass. A fresh, lightly viscous blend of summer fruits pleases the taste buds. A delight from start to finish.
  Sierra Vista Ranch • 24/bottle

2011 Sonoita Dawn Sonoita grown Grenache forms the base for this refreshing blush wine. A touch of Malvasia grape juice adds an exotic kick. Strawberry and rose greet the nose. A very slight sweetness and low alcohol content complement the crisp, tart, thirst satisfying and fruity flavors. Each swallow cries out for another.
  Rancho Rossa Vineyard • 18/bottle

2011 Albariño Albariño is a green grape of Iberian origin. I made this wine with grapes from Bockish Ranches in Lodi, California. This wine is true to the tradition of straight, piercingly crisp and tart Albariño table wine. White fleshy fruits, citrus over tones, and cleansing freshness are the aromas and tastes of this fantastic white wine.
  Bockish Ranches • 17/bottle

Malvasia 2009
SOLD OUT
This Malvasia, whose previous vintage was the
2009 AWGA White Wine of the Year, is a truly unique white wine that has an intoxicating perfume nose and notes of roses, peaches and pears. The finish is completely and surprisingly dry.
  Sweet Sunrise Vineyards • 28/bottle

Estate Syrah 2009 Dark. The nose has black cherry aromas typical of
Sonoita Syrah. Mild cedar and sage aromas reveal the 30
months of barrel aging in Hungarian Oak. The finish is
long and reminds me of plums with a hint of Syrah spice.
This wine will continue to age for a long time.
  Canelo Hills Vineyard • 34/bottle

Nebbiolo 2009 A glass of rubies and garnets. Licorice, mint, medium
caramel, cedar and a hint of flowers are the aromas. The
taste is tart, creamy and reminds me of dried cranberries.
This wine evolves with decanting to open to fullness.
Sweet Sunrise Vineyard (now Sand Reckoner) • 23/bottle

Sangiovese Select 2008
Silver Medal,
2011 National Women's Wine Competition
A ruby red wine that sparkles in the glass, filled with spicy red cherry aromas and flavors. 36 months of barrel aging impart smooth soft tannins and a light cedar touch to the lingering finish.
Sweet Sunrise Vineyard (now Sand Reckoner) • 24/bottle

Estate Scavenger's Blend 2009

A dark, dark wine belies the presence of Zinfandel. Syrah and Mourvedre provide the spicy, black pepper, cinnamon and fleshy dark fruit aromas and flavors. Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and new American Oak mix in chocolate and lovely tannins. This wine will tickle your mouth for a very long time. The Riesling? – somewhere in there - subtle, evasive, and seductive.

  Canelo Hills Vineyard • 32/bottle

Estate Tempranillo 2009

Dense, brilliantly clear garnet color. Dusty Sonoita black plum and aromatic cedar aromas fill the glass. Mocha, chocolate, plum flavors and mid-palate tannins are supported by a solid acidic backbone. Classic Canelo Hills Tempranillo.

Canelo Hills Vineyard • 39/bottle

Zinfandel 2009 It’s difficult to grow Zinfandel in Arizona because of the monsoon rains that usually hit just at harvest time. 2009 was an exception – the summer was long and dry and this Zinfandel has turned into a lovely medium-bodied dry wine completely characteristic of Zinfandel. The wine is dark red and opaque, modest oak, with classic Zinfandel jammy fruit.
  Sweet Sunrise Vineyard • 19/bottle

Syrah 2009 Dark red, with an intense ruby rim, the aroma of this wine reminds me of bacon-wrapped black cherries and a hint of black olives. The black olives continue as the wine enters the mouth, mingling with plum, white pepper, and blueberries. It has a long, plush finish. It will age for a long time and probably reach its peak long after it's sold out in the tasting room.
  Sweet Sunrise Vineyard • 22/bottle

Estate Syrah 2008
Bronze Medal,
2011 Finger Lakes International Wine Competition
Bronze Medal,
2010 National Womens Wine Competition
SOLD OUT

Dark garnet in color, the nose is an intoxicating mix of roses and black plum skin. This elegant wine tastes of mild freshly ground white pepper and wine poached black cherries and leaves a lovely, lingering smooth tannic finish in the mouth.
  Canelo Hills Vineyard • 38/bottle

2009 Estate Finale
Bronze Medal,

2011 AWGA/AZ Republic Wine Competition
Dark rich grapey Cabernet Sauvignon colors, aromas and flavors, but the overall experience is a delicious “wine candy”.
  Canelo Hills Vineyard • 22/bottle

Yummy Zin

This fortified wine begins with a wild stewed brambleberry cobbler bouquet. The wildness continues with a powerful jammy, confectionary fruit taste. A combination of grapes from the 2007, 2008 and 2009 vintages.
  Sweet Sunrise Vineyards • 20/bottle
